Its so close you can taste it!

As it stands.....13 hours 12 minutes away from freedom.
Been trying to remember the chracteristic features of crustaceans and nemerteans...but i am really scared that all these bits of information are teetering in my brain...if i move too quickly it might all topple over and i will be left with an indecipherable mess of useless long words......slowly backing away from computer and books....trying not to run around in excitement at her upcoming holiday and not having to go to work.......oooohhhh too hard.....dum ya's ALL

Post Denied

I was going to post about the plight of Tree-Man but looking at him is just too sad. Never have born witness to such a discomforting documentary. The most startling thing was not the man himself but the two guys who rounded him and several others with dermatological abnormalities up and forced them to perform at shopping centres. What is wrong with the world?? Why do we care so much if Tom Cruise's freak child has a $1 million birthday party or if Angelina's Lips are getting any bigger (which i don't think is possible without them becoming a state) Why can't we put some of that spotlight onto REAL people with REAL troubles??

BAH.....

Half Way There

I would have blogged, you see, but i just went on living my life. Really. Uni classes have finished today and this coming week "off" i need to relearn all the hours of lectures i slept through or the stuff that was just too hard for 9 am on a mon morning. So if anyone is looking for me..i will be procrastinating somewhere. washing dishes. scrubbing the toilet. watching dr phil. you know how it goes. but don't dare interrupt me as then i will feel genuinely guilty and may take it out on you with a knife. nah...just messing with you..you're alright.

Now, seriously, get the fuck out of here pindick.
Just a note: this picture is from post secret...THE best thing EVER. seriously.

Ah The Awkwardness of it All

9:15 am: It must have just been one of those days. Three buses never turned up this morning to take me to uni...could deal with that..better late than never right? had to run up the back steps to the late entry ...seemed like some seedy post war hospital fire escape...stumble in..dive into the closest seat...flustered but ok. pen rolls slowly off the table down the row in front of me...it starts

10:30 am: Tilly and i grabbing $2.20 coffee..YAH!! and then me grabbing the newspaper intending to do the crossword but freaking out as i am thinking i can't do the crossword in a paper thats not mine...but it IS communal....just leave it. go to sit down. change mind. keep walking.

1:00 pm Lincraft. me seeking guidance to the felt....can i take what i have in my hands and am planning to buy from this level upstairs??? standing excitedly clutching felt squares and neon shoelaces, turn to the woman beside me, not noticing her cold business eyes and say, "funny, when my mom used to shop here when i was little i hated it, now look at me! **hahaahha**". she raised her eyesbrows and went 'HUH'.. i smiled it off..face boiling but still super excited about my craft stuff so i head out the door.

1:15 pm crux. the strap on my bag manages to snag a chair in the Centreway arcade, and not a weak ass chair either, i'm talking wrought iron bitches, and, to top it off, i drag it a metre before realising and have to fight with this thing to get it back to where it came from IN THE LUNCH TIME CROWD.....bear in mind this spot is hella busy courtesy of thos wicked $4 baguettes down degraves.

the indignity of it all...i am going to go to bed now where the world can see me no more

Oh What a Night

The names of people and places in the following story have been chaned in an effort to retain anonomity:
Carly was out late with some work friends Anzac Eve having a killer time at Bing Bong. The music was loud. The beer was cold and her friends were hilarious. All was seemingly an innocent night until some unexpected acquaintances were discoverd lurking in the corner. Ahhh..lost a friend...out looking when..BAM.. ooops bumped into one of the lurkers, lets call her Sandra. uhhm. hi...you're here?..oh..ok...bye. Carly finds her friends and heads to the bar. After getting in trouble with bar staff, dancing around, pouring beer all over her shoes and having an all round good time staying away from the lurkers, Sandra approaches and starts verbally showering Carlly. "yOu eeeVerrr tlk shiiiiiT abouutt ma frrienzzz agyen i'll smAsh your fais in...rIIGGHHtt???' and all such manner of things... woah!! Carly steps back and smirks..this seems to make it worse......( keeping in mind Sandra is a good ten years older than Carly) But eventually Sandra and Roger get bored and walk away. Carly's work friends: 'what happened there?'....Carly's stewing on this...gets angrier and angrier as the mutual friend who was the buffer, call him Bob, had ducked off to try and hail a cab for Cassie. Carly loses her shit and storms off. Leaving her friends behind having fun on the dance floor.
She sleeps on it.

Next day turns out Sandra DOES remember and claims that Carly riled her up by insulting Roger. But to insult Roger she would have had to talk to them...but she doesn't like them so why would she talk to them???? the plot thickens

Next Episode:
Will Bob chose Carly over Sandra and Roger? Will Sandra realise how pathetic her actions were? Or is she on a downward spiral and lost without Bob's advice and friendship???

If you are still reading good on you.....you show loyalty to my trash talk

I Thank Thee

So after three weeks of living on Henry Street i finally plucked up the courage to tell my mother that i had, in fact, moved out of Carlton house. The plan was to tell her the day after the removalists had put my bulky stuff in the room so then it was all over and done with and she could not try and convince me to move back to Bentleigh with her. I needed a way to butter her up so the news would be a bit easier to skim over if i had something else interesting/expensive to give her. Thinking. Aha! Remebered there was a book she once had and LOVED and claims she lent it out to people and never got it back....so there i am searching every possible distributor at work. All but one house were all out of print so put my order in and sat tight. Was anticipating it would take at least two months to get in so figured i would use the news of me finding the book to order as my 'other topic' when i told her the news. But that failed. I needed that get out of jail free card when she invited me for dinner but i was moving my small shit that evening. Just to appease i told her about the book and suddenly me not coming to dinner wasn't as bad as first thought. Bugger....there goes that idea!!!

But alas. Special Orders aren't as pathetically slow as i seem to tell customers. My book came. I told mum about my move...(on an escalator mind u so she couldn't really do anything)..gave her the book and you know what she said???

go on...guess....

oh..ok....and then out came nobel prize winning author toni to save the day....

And no tantrums or arguments....victory was mine
